That about rounds up my favorite downtown Portland hotels! Do you have a favorite hotel that I did not mention above? Please leave it in the comments below, as I’m always looking to add to my list.Īlso, if you’re planning a trip to the Portland area and want to check out the Willamette Valley Wine Country, consider reading my post detailing the area here!įull Disclosure: You did not see one Kimpton hotel which has made my list. The Heathmanīuilt back in 1927, this hotel is a well-loved landmark among locals which also happened to make a very impressionable cameo appearance in the book (and now movie) 50 Shades of Grey. Prior to it’s stardom, The Heathman has always been known for it’s opulence, prime downtown location and one-of-a-kind Afternoon Tea in their onsite luxurious downstairs tea court. Pro Tip: Upgrade your room to “Club Level” and enjoy evening hor d’oeuvres, complimentary cocktails, wine and beer, plus a gourmet champagne breakfast in the morning. And, thanks to their two onsite restaurants, Urban Farmer and Departure, which features one of the best rooftops in downtown Portland, you really will have no reason to leave. ![]() The Nines is a modern, stylish, high-touch luxury hotel located in the historic Meyer & Frank building in the heart of downtown Portland.
